Dundee Cancer Health & Wellbeing Event


Over 70 patients attended the first collaborative Dundee Cancer Health & Wellbeing event at The Steeple Church on the 31st October this year. CANDU Trustees Satyavani and Karen manned a stall for the charity while Julie led patients in a gentle mindfulness workshop.

Talks included advice on food and nutrition....

alongside a moving and inspiring personal story from the dynamic Kirsten Grace Souter who shared her experience of living with Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Gwen Davidson - Manager of the Improving The Cancer Journey project in Dundee facilitated the afternoon and kept us engaged with proceedings...

The wonderful Lynn Sutherland represented the work of Roxburgh House and Specialist Palliative Care services at the event ...

and Maggies were represented by Karen McKinnon seen here with CANDU Trustee Rubina Zafar.

The Dundee Macmillan team - Judith. Joanne, Rebecca and Simon can be seen here catching up with Cancer Clinical Nurse Consultant Cara Taylor who attended to address any clinical concerns any of the guests had throughout the afternoon.
